We review this page regularly against our working practices and current UK law. If you have a question about it, email support@spelloutsourcing.com.
UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information. This page explains them in plain terms and tells you how to use them. For details of how we use your information, see our Privacy Notice and Candidate Privacy Notice.
Your rights
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| Access | You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and information about how we use it. |
| Rectification | You can ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or complete information that is incomplete. |
| Erasure | You can ask us to delete your information. This applies in certain circumstances, for example where we no longer need it or you withdraw consent. |
| Restriction | You can ask us to limit how we use your information, for example while we check whether it is accurate. |
| Objection | You can object to us using your information where we rely on legitimate interests. You can always object to direct marketing, including vacancy alerts. |
| Portability | Where we rely on consent or a contract and process information automatically, you can ask for information you gave us in a commonly used electronic format. |
| Withdrawing consent | Where we rely on consent, such as for vacancy alerts or analytics cookies, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. |
Some rights do not apply in every situation. If we cannot fully meet your request, we will explain why.
Making a request
Email support@spelloutsourcing.com and tell us:
- your name and contact details;
- which right you want to use and what information your request relates to;
- your registration or enquiry reference, if you have one.
You do not have to use any particular wording. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request, to make sure we do not give your information to someone else.
What happens next
We will respond without undue delay and within one month of receiving your request, as required by law. If your request is complex or you have made several requests, we may extend this by up to two further months; if so, we will tell you within the first month and explain why.
There is normally no fee. We may charge a reasonable fee, or decline to act, if a request is clearly unfounded or excessive, and we will explain our reasons if this happens.
Raising a concern
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information or your request, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent regulator for data protection:
